Privacy Policy

Houum is a property-management platform for condominiums, urbanizations, and residential communities, operated by BCPOS Group. For any privacy question or request, contact us at privacy@houum.com.

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account & identity: first and last name, email, phone number.
• Residence: the community and unit you are associated with.
• Payment information: card and bank (ACH) details you enter to pay HOA fees. This data is sent to and handled by our payment processor (Agilisa); we store only tokens/references and payment history, never full card numbers.
• Payment history: invoices, payments, and payment plans.
• Messages: messages you send to your administrator or the security desk in the app.
• Profile photo (optional): a photo you choose to upload.
• Vehicles, authorized persons, emergency contacts you add to community features.
• Device identifiers: a push-notification token, used to send you notifications.

We do not collect your device location (GPS). The app requests only biometric permission (Face ID / fingerprint) for optional quick sign-in; biometric data never leaves your device.

• Provide and operate the service (billing, reservations, announcements, access control, chat).
• Process payments you authorize.
• Send you account and community notifications.
• Secure the platform and prevent fraud.
• Comply with legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

We share data only with providers that process it on our behalf to deliver the service:

• Agilisa (AgilPay) — payment processing (cards and ACH).
• Google Firebase — real-time updates and push notifications.
• Resend — transactional email.
• Microsoft Azure — cloud hosting and storage.

These providers are bound to use the data only to provide their services to us.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for any period required by law (for example, financial and accounting records).

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Access to production data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time.

• Delete your account: see our account deletion page for how to request account deletion. An administrator removes your access and your personal data is removed or anonymized.
• By request: email privacy@houum.com. We honor deletion except for records we must retain by law.

Houum is intended for adults (property residents and administrators) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy; we will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date.
